I am looking for any and all information on the McMeekan family of Ivan McMeekan > William Bell McMeekan Jr > William Bell McMeekan Sr > Jacob C. McMeekan. I am stuck on Jacob, the following is the only information I have on him.
He was born apprx 1807 and married a Mary Jane Bell in 1845 in Marietta OH. There is a possibility he is listed in the 1850 census of Jolly Township – Washington OH (would have been 4 years before my William was born, so I am not sure this is him) and it states that his mother Mary was living with them, it also states that his wife Mary was only a year younger than him. There is also a possibility of him being in the Preemption IL census in 1880 married to a woman named Jane that was about 30 years younger than him.
If anyone has ANY information on Jacob and his family tree I would be so appreciative!
