My research discovered that there were 6 McMickle brothers who came to South Carolina to fight for the British in the war. I believe 3 or 4 or them defected and relocated to the PA NJ area the others remained in the south. I am from NJ but still have not found any firm prove that I am descended from one of these brothers.
