Homer McMickle is the brother of my great grandmother Martha L. McMickle Herrington. I think William D. is the nephew of Homer. He is probably the child of Egbert Powell McMickle who owned a lot of land in Texarkana (Bowie County). I have no idea why they would have been in Burke Texas, I did find your research very interesting. I didn't know they had been postmasters in Rhodes. I love to get new information on any of the family. Do you have a photo of either of them you would be willing to share?
