James McNeese from Giles Co. TN. Offence: assault with intent to kill, sentenced 3 years from Nov. 2, 1836. 28 years old, 6’ 3 ½” high, weighs 175 lbs. Blue eyes, fair hair, light beard, fair skin. Middle finger of left hand bit off near the end, small scar above the wrist of the left hand on the back of arm, born in Maury Co. and raised in Giles Co., TN. Parents reside in Giles Co.; has no family. He was discharged Jan. 17, 1840 being detained 2 months 13 days for bad conduct.
