Hi
My name is George Steht from Bartow, Fl.Phillip had a Brother named Joseph McNamarrow (1752-1800), Joseph was my Gr.Gr.Gr.Gr.Great Grandfather, he was married to Elizabeth Browning. I received a history on the Mcnemar Branch from a cousin named Mrs. Benjamin Esham of Wilmington,De.dated 11 Feb. 1941. The Mcnemars (Mcnamarrows) came from North of Ireland (Ulster)to London to Virginia. Phillip lived in Orange county, east of the Blue Ridge Mountains and was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. His wife was a Corder and she was closely related to the present Corder family of Barbour County, W.VA.. After the War Phillip moved to the Valley of Virginia near Winchester, Frederick Co. Va. and from there moved to Hampshire Co. on Patterson Creek. They had 4 sons and 5 daughters Phillip died sometime between 1812 - 1824 in Hardy Co. VA.(now W.VA.), Mary died about 1790 in Lewis Co. VA. I'll see if I have any other info in my files. My Gr.Gr.Gr.Gr. Grandfather William Jefferson married Josephs daughter Mary McNemar, I hope this helps.
