I found another Archibald McPhatter while searching for "a Malcolm McPhatter" in Bladen/Robeson County. This Malcolm McPhatter/McFater signed a deed in in Bladen County in 1773 with one of our Stricklands in the area.

While searching for the Malcolm McPhatter this is what I found:
Cemetery located on State Road No. 1318 near Centre Presbyterian Church, Robeson County, NC:

William McPhatter, B. 19 Sept 1811 D. 23 Nov 1848
7. Jane, wife of William McPhatter, B. 10 Mar 1820 D. 9 Jan 1848
8. Annabella McPhatter, B. Jun 1827 D. 31 Oct 1850
9. Archibald McPhatter, B. 3 Apr 1831 age 53

There were many cemeteries listed on this web site in Robeson County, NC. It was all very interesting information.
I don't know if or how these 2 Archibald McPhatters were related. I do know the name had various spellings in the records (McFater, McFatter, McPhater, McPhatter).
Hope it helps someone.
T. Strickland
