The writer of this sketch has known Heber his entire life.He was a good boy; he was a leader in sports, an outstanding baseball player, a special friend to children, very popular with people his own age, and a great lover of old people, a good social mixer, and eager to support schools, churches, and all other worthwhile organizations. He had the ability to make friends wherever he went, and retained their confidence to the end.He was a great lover of his mother and visited her very often.
Heber was wholly devoted to his family; ever ready with money and service to make them happy, and his host of friends join the family at this hour of bereavement in the loss of their noble father, son, brother, and friend Heber.
