Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Phyllis Baker, I picked up your message and I think you are the person I'm looking for. When I was just starting in genealogy, I was contacted by a Catherine Kramer, Galesburg, IL, who was also searching for descendents from her George McPherren, who married Susannah Welker. We corresponded, exchanged info, but finally came to the conclusion that we are not related, except possibly in the old country. I would like to send all my papers to you, if you want them, or, if not, to another researcher you could recommend who might be interested. Have to be by mail and will need your address.
I am descended from a John McFerrin, York/Adams County, Penna. circa 1740, John was born abt 1698 and died abt 1781, in Penna.
