MacQuaide family - Carlow, Ireland
Posted by: Moira MacQuaide Hall Date: February 18, 2000 at 03:07:28

My grandfather Thomas MacQuaide was born in Carlow, Ireland in about 1874. He had 5 brothers (Charles, John, Henry, Robert and Arthur) and 1 sister (Mary I think). His father's name was John MacQuaide who apparently he was a stationer. The children all went to Carlow Academy in the latter part of the 19th century. The family was Church of Ireland. The brothers all went to Trinity College Dublin and my grandfather obtained a BA in the winter of 1898.

I would like to track back and find out more about my great grandfather John MacQuaide, his family and his predecessors. Can anybody help?
