The information on James McQuaid and Honora Courtney came from the LDS website at <http://www.familysearch.org> and from the "Shultz, Schlupp, Saylor, Klotz Families" genealogy. All the sources that I have found are vague about James' birthdate, so 1847 is probably correct. James is somewhat difficult to pin down because I have 22 Jameses, born in the 1800s, in my database. I even have one born in 1847, but this one was born in Westmoreland County, PA. The sources that I mentioned don't have any information on James' parents.
