I have a Mary Ann McQuade/McQuaid who was born 1848 in RI. There weren't that many McQuade/McQuaids in Providence in 1850. I only found three - two Johns, one page 209, Ward 3, the other onpage 163, Ward 3 and Margaret Page 020, Ward 1. This Mary Ann McQuaid/McQuaid married a James Maloy of Oswego Co, NY. They had a daughter Alice born Jan 1880 in RI? Mary Ann and daughter Alice were listed in the 1880 and 1900 Census in Granby, Oswego Co, NY. James & Mary were listed TOGETHER in 1910. Have not checked the 1920 yet. Do you think the Mary, age 7 in your 1850 census entry for John & family could be the same one I am looking for more info on? I know errors can be made on birth dates & ages. I just yesterday found her maiden name on her husband's death record of 1918.
