I am researching the ancestory of my gr-grandfather Bernard "Barney" McQuaid, b. 1834 Ireland, d. 1919 Colorado. He married Bridget Starr, b. 1833 Ireland, d. 1922 Colorado. It is said they landed in Boston in 1850s and may have lived in Lowell, MA. They then moved to California (Calavaras Co) in 1860s and to Leadville, Lake Co, Colorado abt. 1870. It is said he was born in County Fermanagh, possibly Managhan. Bridget's brother Tom Starr was from County Tyrone. I have copy of Marriage Certif. from City of Lowell for Bernard McQuade (age 21, Parents: Michael McQuade and Rose ___) and Bridget Stars (age 26, Parents: Owen Stars and Bridget ___), 10 Sept. 1861, but ages don't match so not sure if this is them. Would like help in tracing ancestry and any immigration info and early years in Massachusetts. Any help would be appreciated,.
