The historical center of McQuadom is Glaslough, Donagh Parish, County Monaghan. Althouth this may create some controversy, I have done enough research, both in the US and in Ireland, that I am willing to say, flat-out, that McQuaid/McQuade is a Gaelic Irish name, as opposed to a Scotch Irish name.
