Peter McQuaid--settled in Seneca KS in 1858

My great-great Grandfather Peter McQuaid came to America from Donegal Ireland in 1848 and lived in New York 10 years. In 1858 he came to Kansas and settled in Seneca, Nemaha county. 1858 is also the year that town was established and we're looking into the possibility that he was one of the founding Fathers of that town. We do know he was a "prominant figure" in the town at that time and that he was the "register of deeds". He married Elizabeth Draney and they had I think 8 kids.
I'd like to hear from other decendants of this family and maybe we can swap information to help in our research. I know your out there and I know there's a lot of you! Thanks.
