I found a Francis McQuaid in the 1850 Lowell Ma. Census
Francis McQuaid 33 born in England
Roseta McQuaid 31 born in England
John McQuaid 6 born in Ma
Thomas McQuaid 1 born in Ma

I found them on page 156 Lowell 5th ward.
My family is on page 288 Lowell Ma
Patrick McQuade 45 Ireland
Patrick McQuade 16 Ireland
Margaret McQuade 18 Ireland
Rosa McQuade 11 Ireland
Anne McQuade 10 New Brunswick

I found Ann Donnely McQuade died in Lowell in 1849. Margaret McQuade is my great grandmother who died in Indianapolis, Ind. in 1900. On the same census page 2nd family down is Patrick McQuade with his family. He is my great grandfather. My grandmother told me both my great grandparents were McQuade's but were not related 1 family was from Northern Ireland and the other from County Cork. I believe Margaret's family was from County Cork. Do you think our families are related?
