I have a Lewis McQuade who was a Railroad Clerk in the 1880 census in McPherson City, Kansas. His brother was working with him as a RR Clerk as well, his name was George. Possible match? My Lewis was born about 1858 in Philadelphia, PA. I have the following information as well but I'm not sure if this is my Lewis McQuade:
Louis J. McQuade listed in St. Joseph, Missouri in 1889 & 1890 as a contracting agent with two separate railways. C.S.& F.C. railway in 1889 (location 2? r. 619 n. 9th) and A.T.& S.F. railway in 1890 (location 2? r 215 n. 16th).
Perhaps this is both of our Lewis's and we have a match, or maybe there are two different Lewis's. Hopefully we have something here. I can be reached at brian@mcquades.us.
