I'm just interested in the fact that you have written that the Teeling family comes from a place in Belfast. I have always heard through my family and through what reserch I could get on Luke, Bartholomew and Charles that my family came from Meath, not Belfast. I mean I know we lost some land on the Boyne due to the rebellion in 1641. But I had no idea that some of the family hailed from that direction.
I'm afraid I don't have any information on Arthur MacQuide and I do apoligise for that but I thank you for the new referance you've given me. While my family had known that Luke had run to Belfast and stayed there after the 1798 rebellion. I had no idea that any of the rest of his family had stayed on as what I have found made it seem as if they all crossed down south again.
It's probably of little help but I know that Charles was held in Kilmainham goal in 1797.
The vast majority of the family now came from southern Ireland.
Again I have very little in the way of information regarding the Teeling family in Northern Ireland and save for Luke Teeling I don't really know of any other's who stayed on after it was safe to return or remained living there.
Thank you for posting what you have I can't tell you how much I appreciate being able to see this little gem of information.
