My great-great grandfather was Hugh McQuaker, son of William McQuaker and Elizabeth Wallace. He and his wife Elizabeth nee Turner emmigrated to Australia in 1855 aged 24 and 25 respectively, arriving at Brisbane on board the ship John Davies on 10 May, according to passenger lists held in the Queensland State Archives. His brother, West Hamilton McQuaker, also emmigrated to Australia. I have details of some of West Hamilton's family and probably more than 100 of Hugh's and would be happy to share.
