I am a great grandaughter of Joseph Judson McQuartters. I am under a research program at Southwestern Medical School, in Dallas, for what at first appeared to be MS but was not conclusive. I have done DNA testing for the cerebellum disorder that I have, the gene has not been isolated. So on my side of the family what the doctors were calling "familial shakes" was a cerebellum disorder like MS and ALS but has not been named yet. This disorder has not missed a generation on my side. This disease strikes both males and females, some more severe and at different ages. If I may be of help, please let me know.
