My grandfather was Charles L. McShane born in Portland, ME 3/15/1863. His father was Edward McShane, born about 1842 in St. John, New Brunswick, married a Sarah Morris McShane. She was from NB too. Edward's father was John McShane and his mother, Adelarde Huston both of St. John, New Brunswick. Charles McShane had a son Edward born 5/3/1898 died 8/31/1950. If there is any connection, I would appreciate hearing from you. I don't know where they came from before New Brunswick. Charles' wife, Annie Smart's parents came from Dublin, Ireland and County of Cork.
