My McShane's were from Glasgow and Airdrie. My ancester Catherine McShane married Dennis Brogan. They resided in Airdrie and Catherine died there in 1901. She was in the poorhouse there after Dennis passed previously to her. She had 13 children that I know of, namely: Mary, two sons (names unknown) Daugher (name unknown, James, Catherine, Susan, Patrick, Francis, Catherine, Hellen, William and Helen. There are other children as well but my mind is blank tonight. Her children stayed in Scotland with the exception of three of her daughters as far as I can ascertain. I'm currently working on this line.
I will tell you they were Catholic and are buried at the Catholic Cemetery in Airdrie.
