Dear Helena,
Just came across the McShane listing, I too live in Canada although I only arrived in 1984. I am a Belfast Mc Shane from West Belfast. My father was John Mc Shane, son on James, and grandson of John. They were all plasterers by trade. He came from a very large family and I believe he had cousins in Canada not sure exactly where. I know I have cousins in Australia and America. I grew up in Durham street, the street my father was born and raised in. Later moved to the famous "Divis Flats". My family are all still over there, I'm the only one in Canada. Any connection? All the best. Margaret Serre (nee Mc Shane)
