My great, great grandfather, Cornelius McShane, was botn somewhere in Ireland--probably northern Ireland in about l842, came to England as a dock laborer sometime before 1865. He had two children, Daniel Joseph (my great grandfather and Cornelius. He died sometime between l871 and 1881 and was married to a Mary Ann ? who was born in England about 1844. My great grandfather, Daniel, married Sarah Laverty around 1887 and came to Pa. with his wife and 2small children, James and Nora, in 1892. Any of this sound familiar?
