On reflection I think I have made an assumption that MARY ANN McSHANE's father was GEORGE McSHANE (see previous posting) when in fact he may have been GEORGE KINGSTON i.e. the same G. KINGSTON mentioned in the tombstone above. Here is her 1857 marriage record which clearly gives her parents as GEORGE & JOANNE KINGSTON of Dungannon:

(some names in Latin)

Parish of St. Audoen - Dublin (Roman Catholic)
Register of Marriages Oct 14th 1856 Dec 12th 1880
[Groom & Bride] Eugenius Clarke, Drogheda & Maria Anna McShane, Drogheda
[Groom's Parents] Bernardi & Catherine Clarke, Carrickmacross
[Bride's Parents] George & Joanne Kingston, Dungannon
[Month] March
[Celebrant] Jacobis Corr
[Witness] Guilelmus ?Pentland or Portland, Drogheda
[Witness] Maria Anna Martin, Merchant's Quay

Why the daughter is McSHANE and the father KINGSTON is a mystery at this point.
