McSHANE of Monaghan, IR
Posted by: Rosemary Palermo (ID *****1648) Date: January 08, 2012 at 07:39:38
  of 567

am looking for Irish records for the following:
Richard McSHANE - born 1803 - County Monaghan and his brother Felix McShane - born 1810 - Monaghan.
Parents possibly Michael McShane and Eizabeth or Margaret CONROY

Both were stonemasons, who emigrated to Brookline, MA, USA (suburb of Boston). They arrived in the US in Aug 1849.

Richard McShane married Catherine FINNEGAN (widow of unknown Sullivan) in Muckno, Monaghan, IR abt 1847.

Son Felix McShane was born 9 Aug 1848 in Drognamoyne, Monaghan shortly before they sailed from Newry to the US. They emigrated with Catherine Finnegan's mother (Rose DUFFY FINNEGAN, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers).

Any info would be greatly appreciated!
