Dear McSweeney researcher
I notice one of your sponsors are Edward & Ellen McSweeney. I am presently tracing an Ellen McSweeney. Australian Shipping Records record Edward and Ellen McSweening sailing to Australia in 1861 aboard the British Trident with their one year old daughter, Catherine, who is sadly recorded as dying on voyage. Edward and Ellen were both 21 years of age when travelling that year, making them both born in the year 1840. Have you been able to link your Edward and Ellen as sponsors and have you stumbled upon any other information.
Regards
Helen
