Terence MacSwiney was Lord Mayor of Cork in 1920. He died while Mayor, on Hunger Strike in Brixton Prison. My great-grandfather, Richard McSweeney came to New York City from Kerry, married Nora Connolly about 1894 and had a son named Denis born 1899. Possibly a connection?
