Mark: Have just uncovered evidence that the Sweeney name in my past may very well have been"McSweeney."
See how this info works with yours.
Michael McSweeney emigrated to the U.S.A. around 1879, settling in St. Louis, Missouri.
He passed away in 1887 at the age of 35. His wife Mary passed away in 1890. Both are buried in St. Louis. The newspaper notice of Michael's death mentioned that he was a native of "Kilmichael" County Cork.
Did not have your e-mail address so am hoping that you still review this forum.
Hope to hear from you.
Ron Conroy
