We are looking for the birth of 'our John' who was born in Ireland May 13, 1814. 'Family lore' says in Donegal, but we have found no traces in the parish registers etc of any John born on that date. We would like to research the neighbouring counties, maybe he was born elsewhere and then the family moved to Donegal???
Does anyone have any ideas or knowledge of a John McVetty born in that time span? Any and all suggestions appreciated. Regards, Patti
