My G-G-G-Grandfather was WILLIAM McVEETY born in Donegal about 1792. He emigrated from Ireland about 1836 to settle in Manchester, England. His daughter was ISABELLA McVEETY born in Galway about 1830. Her elder brother WILLIAM born about 1820 emigrated with his family to Australia in 1860. In the Manchester census for 1841 the family were listed as McAVEETY. Does anyone have any info on the McVeety name?
