Yes, I think the Scottish McVities of Saugeen township are probably the right family, although they spelled the name McVeety, because the other families in that branch, the Lamonts and the McTavishs, were Scottish. However, the photo of the Anderson girls and Mary McVeety was taken in Perth, Ontario. The Andersons would have been living in Port Elgin or Toronto at that time, so it must have been taken where Mary McVeety lived. It looks like it was taken about 1900 and she looks about 50 years old. Maybe, the McVeetys were Scottish settlers in Ireland, causing the confusion as to whether they were Scottish or Irish.
