Eleanor, I'd love to provide you with more information, before and after Christina but she is all I've got! I've been researching her for a full 15 years and have only just managed to find the second record even confirming her existence.

Her daughter, Mary Watson, is my grandmother. Mary Watson was married in Canora Saskatchewan in 1911 to Tim Callaghan. The marriage records lists her parents as Christina McVicar and Charles Watson. Mary was born in Dakota in 1889.

I find Charles and Christina, with baby Mary living in South Norfolk, Manitoba in 1891. Charles entire birth family was also living there. Both Charles and Christina give their place of birth as Ontario.

Christina was 22 in 1891, giving an estimated year of birth of 1869. Christina died in 1896. That's it. That's literally all I know.

I am looking for a family of McVicars who had a daughter Christina, born in Ontario in 1891, who are known to have moved to Manitoba sometime between 1881 and 1891. I have found several Christina McVicars in previous censuses, but hope that the dates and locations will help to narrow down the scope somewhat.

When did your McVicars move to Manitoba, and where in Manitoba generally did they settle?
