Hi Jim,
Yes it is usually only the People who use the s in Mcvicars all the time who are part of my mum's family.
We belong to the lost sheep from Australia. My great grand father Jack McVicars AKA John came to Australia in 1873/4 and was never heard from back in Scotland again.

About 4 years ago My husband and I went to Scotland and met Matt and Connie McVicars in Fife. This was the first time the Australian branch of the family had been in touch.

A while ago now I was also in touch with Bill McVicars ( William Stanley) in the US But have not made contact for quite a while.
