Help! I am trying to update a McVicar family history written about 1940 and have been unable to place these people or find any records for them. This is the information given in the book:
John McVicar was the son of James McVicar and Effie McNeil. He was born on the 7th of April, 1836. He married Janet MacArthur and they had the following children:
Donald James, who married Vaga Solvison. They have the following children: Ruth, Ronald, Winslow (who died in 1936), Alden.
Any suggestions on this puzzle would be greatly appreciated.
