I am seeking ancestrial origins of my great grandfather, John Wesley Hart born about 1849 or 1851 depending on what historical record you look at, and his brother, Matthew Smith Hart, dob: abt 1850 or 1853. These African American brothers migrated out of Maryland and eventually settled in Lower Chichester /Marcus Hook, PA area. John listed as his 1st wife Alice of Delaware than married Elnora Wallace who's birthplace is listed on one census record as D.C. and on another as Maryland. I need direction on how to further my search in Maryland for the origins of these family members. If any one can assist, your suggestions are welcome.
