Some additional information for clarificaton.

I have no actual birth information on these family members.
I have found US Census information for many of the family members but there birth information on the census is ambiguous. I suppose this is due to the changing borders of states and counties during the time frame.

John Wagley found US Census
1800 Hagerstown, Washington, Maryland
1810 , Jefferson, Virginia
1820 Middletown, Berkeley, Virginia
1830 , Berkeley, Virginia

William Wagley Found US Census
1850 District 9, Berkeley, Virginia
1860 Falling Waters, Berkeley, Virginia
1870 Martinsburg, Berkeley, West Virginia

Edmond Wagley
1880 Piedmont, Mineral, West Virginia

John Wagley was listed age 50-60 on the 1830 US Census. I am assuming he died before the 1840 US Census.

No listing for either John Wagley or William Wagley in the 1840 US Census.

William Wagley was a blacksmith, perhaps this family was living with another family during the 1840 US Census.

As for Edmond Wagley I have only been able to find this family in the 1880 US Census. Edmond worked for the B&O RR. In 1896 his wife, Elizabeth, applied and was granted his Civil War Pension and was still living in West Virginia. Edmond also had made an application for his pension but records show only an application and no certification # as was shown in Elizabeth's application. Unfortunately, you cannot read the year of Edmond's application. Possibly he passed away before he received the pension?

That's about all I have for information on these families except for some Civil War information.

Edmond H. Wagley - Union, Company C, 3rd Regiment, West Virginia Calvary.

William Wagley - Confederate, Glenn's Co., 7 Virginia Cavalry, 7th Regiment, Virginia Cavalry (Ashby's) but then I found where this person died in the war, so cannot be my William Wagley.

I have found another William Wageley (spelling) living in Berkeley, Virginia/West Virginia. This is a different family.

I hope this additional information helps.
