Thank you Judie. This is the correct family. Since my first post I found that my "Captain" was a sea captain by the name of Thomas William Patrick the son of Levin Patrick and Sara Ann Byrd - I believe their only child as Sara died in the late 1820s and Levin moved to Philadelphia and remarried. I believe the Thomas William was raised by his grandfather Captain William Patrick b. 1768. Captain Thomas Patrick downed at see in 1854 at the age of 29. I am still interested in any information you may have on any Patricks who lived in Somerset and later Wicomico Co. Thank you kindly for your reply.
