Hi Richard,
We have a Linn in our line that has Bannister for a middle name. Bannister is not a very common name. I believe that our Linn is probably connected to The Bannisters in Charles Co., Md. In John Robbins will, dated 15 Dec 1708 five Bannister's are listed along with Francis Lyn and some others. Do you have any connection to the Bannisters in Charles? Do you know how the name Bannister became part of your line? The Lyn/Linn/Lynn line travels from Charles Md. to Hagerstown Md. from there it splits some going on to Ohio, some going to N.C. and later Georgia. Does any of this fit into your picture?
Thanks
Jim Lynn
