James Wise II from Worcester County?

I have been looking for a clear connection to the Maryland Wise family for James M. Wise II born 1803 in Maryland and died in New Castle, DE in 1895. Family tradition reveals that his middle initial "M" stood for Mitchell, implying a connection to that family in Maryland.

Other strands of information I have are that he was in Baltimore briefly as a boy, that he lived at Ft. Delaware (assumably with parents) as a boy, and that he was a drummer boy at Fort Delaware.

His mother or another female relative was named Isabell. He had another relative referred to as Bubbi.

He had a brother named John in Louisianna, who had an adopted daughter named Isabell. John died in 1897 at age 84.

The family believes James Wise was connected to an Ezekiel Wise, who was referred to as the son of John and Hannah (Mitchell) Wise in the 1768/69 Worcester County, MD will of John Mitchell.

I'm interested in any solid information.
