1. Edmund Bowman Cropper d.1733, 3rd son of John Cropper I d.1686 (grndsn of Major Edmund Bowman), had at least two other sons, Nathaniel(II)w.1757, and Edmund w. 1747(of the Buckingham Congregation). 2. The Reuben who witnessed the will of Nathaniel(II) is older than the Reuben who is listed as being under 25 in the 1765 St. Martin's P.E.Church record. Reuben & Vincent of the record are the sons of Nathaniel II(as per his will). The older Reuben is likely a son of Edmund and uncle to Rhoda Hopkins, grnddghtr of Edmund. 3. Sebastian I w. 1721, had to wait 28 years before he could make claim against John(II) w.1709 & Ebenezer(I)w.1743,(his stepbrothers). Nathaniel(I)d.c.1714 was the oldest of John (I)'s children. 4. General John Cropper is mistaken in his memoirs regarding John Cropper (I)as a Scotchman. 5. Ebenezer(I)w. 1743 & Ebenezer(II)w. 1753 each left wills, neither of which mention a son Nathaniel. The Nathaniel noted in the book "More Marylanders to Kentucky 1778-1828" is the grandfather of Laban. Laban's father is William and the Nathaniel is Nathaniel(II). Note:If you are not a direct descendant of a Morman Line do not rely on the records without searching out authentic documentation. I may have just saved you 20 years of work.
