Thank you for answering my query but that John Carlton wasn't the son of the Jonathan Carlton who came from Woolwich, Maine. I reread my notes and realized that Jonathan died a year after moving to Frankfort. He had a son by the name of Jonathan and that son also named his son Jonathan. With this in mind, I won't be able to find too much on the father, Jonathan. I would very much like to know what became of his son, John who died in 1834 and his daughter Mary.
