I have, or at least thought I did, recorded all MEALE birth everts registered in the UK up to 1967. But Karen, my wife, has reminded me that you are in Scotland. My research which has so far been carried out at the London Records Centre wont have picked up Scotish Meales. (England Wales and N Ireland)
This seems to explain why I cant find your fathers birth in my notes.
We are off to the London centre again this week and I will ask the help desk about tracing Scotish families.
If there is anything you want me to check out whilst I am there perhaps you will let me know. Incidentally - do you think grandfather was born in Scotland as well?
