My grandfather's name was John Mearns, or sometimes Jack. I am not sure which one was his legal name. I really don't know much info about him or his family. He was born I think in Auchtermuchty and immigrated to Canada in the early 1900's. He was born sometime between 1885-1895. All I really know is that he had alot of siblings and his mother was buried in Auchtermuchty. I live in Canada and I am at a lost of my Scottish roots. I know this is not much info to go on but if you could help me and perhaps be able to point me in the right direction of where to search it would be much appreciated.
