The first husband of Mary A. J. Meers Latimer was Moses Meers, b. April 30, 1816, in South Carolina and died abt. 1845 in Forsyth County, Georgia.
Mary was born abt. 1815 in South Carolina, but I have not been able to determine her maiden name.
Moses and Mary had the following children, all b. in Georgia:
Nancy C. Meers, b. abt. 1838
William F. Meers, b. abt. 1840.William was a clerk in a drug store in Washington, Hempstead Co., Ark. in 1860, enlisted in the 19th Arkansas (Dawson's Regt.)and died August 23, 1862 in the Civil War in the Trans-Mississippi campaign.

Sarah E. Meers, b. 1845
Mary A. J. Meers married Isham Prewitt Latimer on January 2, 1849 in Montgomery County, Arkansas, and they lived near Center Point, Arkansas in Brewer Township in Pike County, Arkansas.Isham Prewitt Latimer died February 3, 1876, and I do not yet have a death date or location for Mary.
