Hi,
Just came across your Medici Genealogy Forum add and I also descend from Lady Veronica and Andrea and was wondering where you found her last name? I sure would love to prove that she was a Medici and I know the families had connections. I have some information on Pietro and I am almost sure his parents did not come. Pietro was know as Long Island first Italian. There is much on his trip and the court trials with the captain of the ship. Some believe he came here to follow his true love Judith. Her father Jans was in the Dutch army and stationed in Venice and when he came to New Amsterdam that is possibly why Pietro followed. I have been to the church in Venice where Pietro was baptized and it is not far from the ducal palace where Andrea was secretary. I have a Burtis-Albertis page at MyFamily.com that I haven't check on all summer because we have been traveling. We are home and then off to Italy the middle of Sep to visit my husbands family there and hoping for vist it Venice again, I just love it.
