Sue,

Sorry to take so long to respond to your posting on Samuel MEECH (1740-1788)and Ann BUNDHOLE, poor computer and my own lack of health has meant that I have not done much of late!
You have, I think, lead me to our gx5grandparents! We have been looking for them and the dates you give seem to match what would have been expected. Joseph (1774-1798)could be the brother of William (1781-1855) m.Alice BARNES (1774-1841) and our gx4grandparents, through Samuel (1809-1895), Thomas Henry c.1839-1875,John Elliott (1866-1930), Thomas Arthur(1908-1979).
If you any other information please post it as it may be the "proof".
Did Joseph have a son Joseph? A chap of this name appeared in Bothenhampton and was said to have come from Shipton Gorge.
Samuel(1809-1895)had a brother Mattthew(1810-1886) who has been traced and is an acestor of Wendy. We have a sister, Rhoda(1813-?), who has not been traced at all.
Thanks for posting!
Bernard
