Nancy, Thank you for the information on John Meetch and his family. I have not been able to find the wife of John, Sr., but I have not really pursued the Irish end. Notes for CYRUS MEETCH TRUMP:
The 1850 MO census gives Cyrus M. Trump living in the family of John B. (sic) Truscott and gives his age as 29, which would mean that he was born in 1821. Did he shave three years off his age to appeal to 19-year-old Charlotte? John Truscott is listed as a miller.

Cyrus was apprenticed to a tailor and possibly was in the Mexican War.
