Daniel J. & Margaret Meehan Family, DuBois, PA, 1920 & 1930
In the US Census records for 1920 and 1930, Daniel J. Meehan and his wife Margaret were living in DuBois with their children:Charles M. (who might also have been known as Morrow, and was born about 1909-10); Gerard J. (who was born about 1917); Rosanna (who was born about 1918); and Daniel (who was born about 1919).Daniel J. Meehan was a blacksmith employed by a railroad. He didn’t know his age, however. In 1910, he was 34.Then he was 49 in 1920, and 52 in 1930.
Daniel J. Meehan and Margaret (who might also have been called Nora, and whose maiden name might be Burke), and six-month old “Morrow”, were living in Jermyn, Lackawanna County, PA, at the time of the 1910 Census.Jermyn is the “ancestral home” of my Meehan family from County Sligo, Ireland.
Charles Meehan (a younger brother of my great grandfather) and his wife Bridget Burdish were married on January 1, 1870, in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Archbald, PA.They had six children, one of whom was a son, Daniel J. Meehan.
I would appreciate being contacted by any descendant of Daniel J. and Margaret Meehan of DuBois to discuss the possible family relationship.
Thanks,
Robby
