Cyndi, I am so relieved to finally know Mary A. J. Meers' name! Not knowing was going to bug me forever!
Unfortunately, Moses' and Mary's only son, William, was killed in the Missouri Campaign of the Civil War. He was such a promising young man, too. He worked as a clerk in a store in Washington, Arkansas before he entered the war. At that time Mary was married to my ancestor, Isham P. Latimer, and between them they had six sons in the Civil War: Lafayette F. (who was killed at Chickamauga), my great-grandfather, William R., who was injured at Chickamauga, and three others who fought in Texas Regiments: John A., Isham P. Jr., and Washington P. Latimer.
