I am looking for more information on the Free Will Baptist church in Warren County Kentucky in 1850's .
My gggrandfather John Sturgeon went there and I am trying to learn more about him.
This is what I have from one of the court books in Warren County Kentucky.

On motion of John Sturgeon who having taken the oath required by law and executed bond in the penalty of $500. with Warner L. Underwood and W.S.D. Megowan his securities and produced creditentals of his ordination and also of his been in regular communion with the Free Will Baptist Church, a testimonial is granted unto him to celebrate the rites of matrimony between and persons regularly applying within this state.

Any info will be greatly appreciated. I know he later moved to Warrick County IN Booneville, and died there in March 1860. I am trying to find out the name of the church in the Kentucky area he might have belonged to and also history of that church and members. Thanks Loretta Beasley 8001 Rexmill Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46227 317-881-1093 lbeasley@hotmail.com
